Needed to get out and walk a bit, and try out my new spikes. Needed something short but not too long nor far away.
I visit Oak Hill fairly often and thought I'd change it up a bit by bringing my DSLR with the long lens and see what I could get.
Oak Hill has two good outlooks, each is toward Kearsarge and Cardigan with a bit different angles.
There's also a tower at the west end of the system, but I declined that today.
The trails are well traveled and well maintained, a pleasure to walk on.
It was a pleasant day, though my late start cost me most of the morning clarity.
Still, I managed to catch some reasonable shots of Kearsarge and Cardigan.
There were a few people, it's a pretty popular area. And today a ( I think ) Great Dane.
A beautiful dog. And HUGE. I thanked his walker for leashing and taking him slightly off trail while I passed by.
I had the impression from his owner's caution that perhaps his dog is a little shy or nervous.
Even if he weren't , the trail is only so wide... between him and me ( I take up a lot of space myself !) there wouldnt have been much empthy space on the trail.
